A 20m long by 3m wide Above Ground Concrete Weighbridge was supplied, installed and trade verified aat a Proserpine Landfill Site in December of 2011 by Australasia Scales.
The fully hot dipped galvanised steel concrete weighbridge is supported by 6 super reliable heavy duty CAS WBK canister type load cells. Each cell has in-built lightning protection and IP68 rated dust and water proofing. The client needed the installation process be quick, as to meet operating deadlines. Rather using the industry standard 32mpa – 28 days curing concrete has a faster setting. 40mpa concrete was used to allow the Weighbridge decks to be lifted, load cells placed to the underside, electronics discontinued and the Weighbridge tested and verified after just 10 days of curing the concrete.
This Concrete Weighbridge is to be mainly used as a single directional Weighbridge and to satisfy OH & S regulations. Also required was a removable galvanised walkway, to protect drivers safety exiting and re-entering their vehicles whilst parked on the Weighbridge.
